The Miho Satsuma Mandarin Tree originated in Japan. It is known for its easy-to-peel, seedless, sweet and juicy fruit. These characteristics made Miho Satsuma Mandarins a great fruit for a quick snack or school lunchboxes.

Unlike some other citrus trees, the Miho Satsuma mandarin tree is a slow grower and stays relatively compact. This makes it ideal for container growing. Miho trees typically reach a mature height of around 1.5 meters tall and wide. The fruit generally grow to about 5cm in diameter

While most citrus trees prefer warm climates, the Miho Satsuma is known for its tolerance to some cold, being able to withstand light frosts. This makes it a good choice for home gardeners in cooler climates.

To ensure your Miho tree remains in peak conditions, fertilise your tree with a citrus fertilizer in spring and summer. Check regularly for signs of disease or unwanted insects. Prune your tree lightly to maintain its shape and encourage new growth.
