The Aoshima Satsuma is a compact citrus tree that brings beauty to small spaces and bold flavour to winter harvests. This late-maturing variety is a vigorous grower and a precocious bearer—meaning you’ll see fruit sooner than most. The large, smooth-skinned mandarins are juicy, seedless, and easy to peel, with a mild sweetness that deepens as the tree matures.
It’s a particularly hardy satsuma, tolerating cooler conditions and light frost once established. Whether grown in the garden or in a container on the patio, Aoshima offers reliable winter citrus, with fruit ready from May to July.
And don’t forget—when harvesting, always use secateurs to avoid damaging the fruit or stems.
