The Harwood Late orange tree is a popular variety of orange. It is known for its late fruiting season, producing sweet, juicy oranges from November to March. Harwood Late was developed in NZ from Valencia orange, which is our main commercial variety. It is a heavy cropper and vigorous grower, reaching up to 4 meters in height and 3 meters wide. The fruit is thin-skinned, easy to peel, and has a high juice content.
Harwood Late orange trees are relatively easy to care for and are well-suited to both home gardens and commercial orchards. Protect from harsh frosts. Ensure they are planted in well-draining fertile soil. If your soil is clay add gypsum, sheep pellets, compost etc and work well into the soil before plant your Harwood Late Orange tree.
