The Encore Mandarin tree is a popular citrus variety known for its long fruiting season, extending from November to February. The fruit has a long hanging period on the tree which extends the fruiting season further. Encore was developed in California. It is a hybrid cross of King and Willowleaf mandarins. The tree produces an abundant crop of medium sized fruit that are seedless and exceptionally sweet. The tree is vigorous and ornamental with a highly fragrant blossom.
Encore mandarin trees are relatively cold hardy, making them suitable for growing in climates with mild winters. Overall, the Encore mandarin tree is a valuable addition to any citrus collection, offering both bountiful harvests and aesthetic appeal.
