A Gift That Grows – Celebrate Life with a Citrus Tree

Finding a gift that’s meaningful, long-lasting, and environmentally friendly can be a challenge—but it’s one we’ve taken to heart. This page lets you create a special citrus tree gift for any occasion: thank you, bereavement, birth, marriage, Christmas, housewarming, retirement, or milestone birthday. The possibilities are endless.

When we were setting up Citrus Direct, our wonderful nephew and cousin Ryan suggested we offer citrus trees as gifts. What a great idea! After much research and planning, we're thrilled to make it happen—sharing trees that don’t just bloom beautifully, but provide delicious, usable fruit.

Citrus trees tick all the boxes: they’re a gift that keeps on giving—producing fruit that can be enjoyed raw, juiced, or cooked. In today's economy, a food-producing gift is both practical and heartfelt.

Due to shipping limitations, we currently offer individual gifts from our garden range or medium standards in 5L pots. If you're nearby and would like to collect, more options are available.

How to order a Customised Gift-

Select the following:

• The tree you wish to send
• Gift wrapping
• Optional- Blank card and envelope (instead of the business card sized card, which is included in gift wrapping)
• Optional- Add anything from our Garden Supplies or Citrus Body Care Collections to your gift.  These items are added to your total price.

At check out:

• Include the name and postal address of the recipient in the message box. 
• Please make a separate order for each customised gift. This allows us to accurately organise shipping

Gift Wrapping includes:

• All trees come gift wrapped in hessian with a bow around the pot.  Note: Gift wrapping a patio pot takes approx. 1m of fabric due to the size of the pot. This is why it costs more to gift wrap than a 5L pot.
• A small business card sized card is included with your message to the recipient. If you wish for a bigger card please add that to your order.
• Planting instructions
• Fertilizer tabs for planting the tree into the ground or a bigger pot

To ensure the tree's pot doesn't leak, the pot is wrapped in plastic before the pot is gift wrapped. We try to use recycled plastic whenever possible. The gift wrapped plant is then securely placed in a plant box for shipping. The hessian fabric is 100% jute, a natural fibre. When the tree is unpacked, the box and hessian can go in the compost or put on your garden as mulch.
