May 31, 2025
Citrus fruits, flowers, leaves and branches offer a vibrant and cheerful way to add a touch of nature and happiness to your home or celebrations. In addition, the perfume of the fruit, crushed leaves and flowers offers a beautiful fresh fragrance.
Below are a few of the many ways you can use citrus to decorate an area.
Tiered Trays: Arrange fresh citrus fruits on a tiered tray for a dimensional display. Tuck in greenery like eucalyptus or bay leaves for a touch of freshness.
Citrus Bowls, Baskets, and Cylindrical Vases: Fill with a colourful arrangement of fresh citrus fruits. Lemons, oranges, grapefruits, limes, kumquats and even Buddha's hand. The mix of colours, sizes, and textures creates a stunning centrepiece for your dining, coffee, or entryway table.

Citrus Wreaths: Craft a unique wreath using fresh citrus slices. Secure orange or lemon slices (with rinds on) onto a floral foam wreath base with toothpicks or floral pins. You can add rosemary sprigs, pinecones, or cinnamon sticks for a festive touch.
Fireplace Decor: Arrange dried citrus slices and pinecones in a decorative bowl for a warm and inviting fireplace display.
Citrus Centrepiece with Flowers: Combine a bowl of citrus fruits with a simple flower arrangement in a complementary colour palette to create an elegant centre piece.

Citrus and Candles: Combine floating citrus slices with pillar candles and fresh flowers in a large glass vase for a refreshing and elegant centrepiece.
Dried Citrus Ornaments: Dehydrated citrus slices (grapefruits and oranges work well) can be transformed into beautiful ornaments for your Christmas tree or a decorative bowl. Simply thread a ribbon or string through a pre-drilled hole before drying. Or use a glue gun to secure small ribbons or cinnamon sticks to the slices.
