How to Clean a Microwave Oven with Just Lemon and Water

Cleaning a microwave with lemon and water is super easy and natural! Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Slice a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a microwave-safe bowl. Drop the squeezed halves into the bowl as well.

  2. Add about a cup of water to the bowl with the lemon juice.

  3. Place the bowl in the microwave and heat it on high for 3-5 minutes. The water will start to steam, and the lemon's natural oils will help loosen grime and odors.

  4. Let it sit for a few minutes after the microwave stops to allow the steam to do its work.

  5. Carefully remove the bowl (it will be hot!) and wipe down the inside of the microwave with a soft cloth or sponge. The grime should come off easily!

The lemon not only helps with cleaning but also leaves your microwave smelling fresh.

Variation: This works equally well with any orange or lime. I really like using Kaffir lLme. It results in a beautiful fragrance.
